I've got a 2017 MKX with the 6 speed automatic and lately it's been slamming into gear when I come to a stop then accelerate again, like a delayed harsh engagement that's getting worse over time. I've read online that these Ford based transmissions can have issues with the valve body or the torque converter, but I don't want to just throw parts at it without a proper diagnosis. A coworker mentioned that finding a decent Sharjah Lincoln Gearbox Service might be my best bet since dealer prices in Dubai are insane for transmission work. Has anyone here actually taken their Lincoln to a shop in Sharjah for a transmission issue and had a good experience? I'm hoping it's just a fluid flush and a solenoid replacement rather than a full rebuild, but I need a mechanic who knows these 6F series boxes and won't try to upsell me on things I don't need. Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated before I end up stranded.
