Had a scary moment two nights ago when the rear left tyre on my Optima exploded on the ring road just past the Sharjah border, I pulled onto the shoulder and while I was fumbling with the spare a white van pulled up with a couple of guys offering to do it, I usually say no to these roadside helpers out of fear of getting overcharged but I was genuinely nervous with the traffic flying past so I let them, they swapped the tyre in under ten minutes, balanced it right there on a portable machine, and the guy handed me a receipt and said they’re actually a professional tyre change service Sharjah based and do full sets and alignments at their workshop near the cement factory. The price for the rescue wasn’t horrible honestly, less than I expected given the situation, but now I’m due for all four tyres and I’m tempted to go back to them for a full set since they seemed competent, I just can’t find any reviews or even a proper company name beyond what’s on the receipt which is a bit vague. Has anyone used a mobile tyre van that ended up being solid for a full replacement later, or is this one of those situations where the emergency service is fine but you should still go to a proper shop for the big jobs?
