Alright so I'm hoping I'm just overthinking this. I've got a 2014 Bentley GTC V8 and the battery is definitely on its last legs – cranking is slow, the air suspension takes forever to lift the car after sitting overnight, and I've even had the radio cut out a couple times while driving which freaked me out. I went to a local battery shop and they said any decent AGM battery with the right terminal placement will work fine, but then I called another place and they said Bentleys need a specific battery that can handle the "intelligent charging system" or I'll get warning lights. Now I'm confused and don't want to mess up a car that cost more than some apartments. I've been looking into Dubai Bentley Battery Replacement options and saw that some shops actually register the battery to the car's computer while others just swap it and send you on your way. For those of you who've done this before, is the registration thing real or just dealer scare tactics? And has anyone had problems after using a non-OEM brand like Varta or Bosch? Really don't want to pay dealership prices but also don't want my car to think it's having a heart attack every time I start it.
